Sobriety Films UK announces an exclusive virtual screening of award winning U.S mental health documentary Medicating Normal. Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week, we present this powerful and emotive film for its first public screening followed by a panel of experts by experience and experts in the field of psychiatry. Medicating Normal follows the journey of five people adversely affected by the psychiatric medication prescribed to help them.
As UK prescriptions of antidepressants have soared to women and young people during Covid, and with the recent Cochrane Review calling for immediate informed information for doctors and patients about the side effects and safe withdrawal from SSRI’s, we ask – are we looking at a new mental health crisis of prescription dependency in women and young people and quality of life depleting side effects.
