  • Tactical Co-Op FPS ‘Rogue Point’ Officially Exits Steam Early Access with Version 1.0 Release

Tactical Co-Op FPS ‘Rogue Point’ Officially Exits Steam Early Access with Version 1.0 Release

Tense tactical combat, dynamic map layouts, and high-stakes squad mechanics have officially arrived in their full glory. Indie development powerhouse Crowbar Collective (the studio behind Black Mesa) and publisher Team17 have officially launched their four-player co-op shooter, Rogue Point, out of Steam Early Access into its full 1.0 release.

If you and your tactical squad have been craving an adrenaline-pumping PvE shooter where communication isn’t just encouraged—it’s mandatory—Rogue Point is ready for duty.

    What is Rogue Point?

Set in the aftermath of a corporate crisis triggered by the death of Earth’s wealthiest CEO, rival conglomerates are using an app named MERX to hire private mercenary armies to carve up global empires. The only force standing in their way? Rogue Point—an elite, independent vigilante squad tasked with dismantling these corporate warlords.

Designed specifically around 1- to 4-player co-op action, Rogue Point mixes tactical shooter mechanics with dynamic rogue-lite elements, ensuring no two missions play out the same way.

    Key Features & Highlights

    • Dynamic Map System: Powered by a Parametric Design System, missions across sprawling locations—such as Airports, Malls, Corporate Offices, and Oil Rigs—are continuously reshaped with evolving layout variations and shifting objectives.
    • Diverse Mercenary Classes: Face off against 6 distinct MERX enemy types, ranging from nimble Lookouts and lethal Snipers to terrifying Heavies and the legendary 5-Star Merc.
    • Deep Loadout Customisation: Tactical operators can master over 20 weapons and 40+ attachments, tactical devices, and gear.
    • High-Stakes In-Game Economy: Earn currency on the frontline to buy precise equipment, or take risks with the in-game Dead Drop system to acquire rare gear.
    • Full Modding Tools & New Content: The 1.0 release introduces new maps (like the Clinic), fresh cosmetics, expanded achievements, and robust mod support for the community.

    Squad Up or Fall Together

Rogue Point focuses heavily on synergy and adaptability. Starting each run with basic hardware, players must earn elite gear through mission success, tactical positioning, and strategic loadout synergy. Whether breaching doors, securing intel, or extracting under heavy fire, every decision determines whether your team escapes or falls on the battlefield.

    Availability

Rogue Point is available now on PC via Steam. Grab your team, lock in your loadout, and put an end to the corporate war!

  • Ukrainian Studio Twigames Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Gripping Narrative RPG Hollow Home

Ukrainian Studio Twigames Launches Kickstarter Campaign for Gripping Narrative RPG Hollow Home

Kyiv-based indie game developer Twigames has officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for its highly anticipated narrative survival RPG, Hollow Home. With a funding goal of $15,000, the 20-day campaign runs through August 24th to support the final stretch of the game’s development and add extra polish ahead of its planned late 2026 launch.

Here is everything you need to know about this deeply moving indie title, the team behind it, and how you can support their vision.

    What is Hollow Home?

Hollow Home is an isometric, combat-free narrative survival RPG that puts players in the shoes of Maksym, a 14-year-old boy trying to survive the onset of war in his hometown. Inspired by real-life events during the 2022 invasion of Ukraine—specifically the siege of Mariupol—the game delivers an intimate, human look at how ordinary civilians navigate disaster.

Unlike traditional RPGs that centre around battle mechanics, Hollow Home focuses entirely on resource management, dialogue, moral choices, and relationships:

    • No Combat, High Stakes: Survival relies on learning practical skills like cooking, crafting, scavenging, and first aid from surviving neighbours.
    • A Dynamic, Evolving City: As the conflict escalates, the city shifts day by day. Districts become destroyed or blocked off, and characters you meet early on may not survive to see tomorrow.
    • Finite Time & Lasting Consequences: Players face limited actions each in-game day, forcing difficult choices on who to help, what resources to prioritise, and what trade-offs to make.
    • Multiple Endings: Every decision directly shapes Maksym’s morale and the ultimate fate of those around him.

    Real-Life Courage Behind the Game

The story of Hollow Home is deeply personal. Twigames’ team began working on the concept in 2022 after evacuating to a small village in the Carpathian Mountains during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Members of the studio have continued developing the project while living through the ongoing war in Kyiv.

“We started making Hollow Home in 2022, when our team was evacuated to a small village in the Carpathian Mountains. We’ve been building it ever since and are finally close to release,” said Valerii Minenko, founder of Twigames. “We want players to experience what survival looks like for ordinary people when a war arrives in their city.”

The title has already earned significant critical acclaim within the indie community, securing awards such as Best Conference Game at Games Gathering 2024, winner of the Nordic Game 2024 Pitch Battle, and Most Promising Game at Indie Cup Ukraine 2023.

    Why a Kickstarter Campaign Now?

Twigames has already secured a publishing deal with Berlin-based publisher Crunchy Leaf Games, putting the project’s main development on solid financial footing.

However, the team has returned to its original plan of launching a Kickstarter to fund additional polish, deeper narrative branches, expanded quests, and richer details during the final stretch of production.

    Campaign Overview:

    • Goal: $15,000
    • Duration: 20 Days (Ending August 24th)
    • Target Release: Late 2026 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X/S
    • Playable Demo: Currently available on Steam

    How to Support Hollow Home

If you want to back an award-winning indie studio telling a crucial story of resilience, you can support Hollow Home directly:

    1. Back the Kickstarter: Visit the live campaign page to pledge and unlock exclusive backer rewards before August 24th.
    2. Try the Demo: Download and play the free demo on Steam to experience Maksym’s story firsthand.
    3. Wishlist & Share: Add Hollow Home to your Steam wishlist and help spread the word across social media.

Park managers, prepare to expand your exhibits! Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV), in official collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, has announced the latest expansion pack for Jurassic World Evolution 3: the Crocodilia Coast DLC.

Launching on August 11, 2026, for PC, PlayStation®5, and Xbox Series X|S, this highly anticipated downloadable content introduces an iconic prehistoric apex predator to the franchise for the very first time—the formidable Deinosuchus.

A Major First for the Franchise: Enter the Deinosuchus

While Jurassic World Evolution 3 has pushed park management to new heights with deep customisation tools, realistic ecosystems, and breeding mechanics, players have long requested true prehistoric crocodilians.

The Crocodilia Coast DLC delivers on that demand in a big way. Translating literally to “terrible crocodile,” the Deinosuchus was a terrifying Late Cretaceous predator that grew up to 30 feet in length. Known for preying on dinosaurs that dared stray too close to the water’s edge, this ancient relative of modern alligators is set to completely shake up how you design your aquatic and semi-aquatic habitats.

Key features to expect with the Crocodilia Coast launch include:

    • The First Prehistoric Crocodilian: Bring the mighty Deinosuchus to life, complete with dynamic animations, detailed skin/pattern variants, and authentic behaviours.
    • New Coastal & Wetland Attractions: Custom-tailor your enclosures with specialised deep-water platforms, marshland terrain, and specialised feeding stations designed for massive crocodilians.
    • Thrilling Guest Experiences: Give park visitors an up-close look at one of history’s most ruthless ambush predators—just make sure your fences are reinforced!

  • When Stargazing Turns to Terror: Cosmic Horror Sim Eigenstate Unveils Announcement Trailer

When Stargazing Turns to Terror: Cosmic Horror Sim Eigenstate Unveils Announcement Trailer

If you love outer space, intricate simulation games, and a healthy dose of creeping dread, your next gaming obsession has officially arrived on the horizon.

Solo developer Shady Trail has officially released the announcement trailer for Eigenstate—an upcoming telescope operation game where routine scientific observation slowly spirals into mind-bending cosmic horror.

Whether you’re a fan of atmospheric horror like Inscryption and Iron Lung or love deep, immersive simulation mechanics, Eigenstate promises to blend the quiet thrill of astronomy with the unsettling mysteries of the unknown universe.

    What is Eigenstate?

At first glance, Eigenstate tasks players with a seemingly peaceful job: calibrating lenses, tracking celestial bodies, and analysing signals from deep space using high-tech telescopic equipment. You are a solitary scientist exploring the vast unknown from the comfort of your observatory.

However, as you peer deeper into the dark expanse of space, the game shifts. The routine numbers and faint light signals begin to reveal patterns that shouldn’t exist. Scientific observation gives way to surreal cosmic dread as you discover that when you stare into the void, something terrifying might just be staring right back.

    Key Features to Expect:

    • Authentic Telescope Mechanics: Dive into detailed instrument controls, signal analysis, and spatial mapping.
    • Atmospheric Cosmic Horror: Experience a slow-burn narrative that relies on tension, paranoia, and existential dread rather than cheap jump scares.
    • Solo-Dev Passion: Crafted by developer Shady Trail, bringing a unique, focused vision to the psychological horror and simulation genres.

Mark Your Calendars: Release Window & Free Demo

The dark secrets of the cosmos won’t stay hidden forever. Here is when you can get your hands on Eigenstate:

  • Deform to Survive: Why Hermitage is the Most Unsettling New Survival Sim Set in India

Deform to Survive: Why Hermitage is the Most Unsettling New Survival Sim Set in India

Imagine being stranded in the rain-drowned, endless forests of Jharkhand, India. Thunder rolls in the distance, humidity clings to your skin, and starvation is setting in. You find food—but every bite you take alters your DNA, physically twisting and deforming your body.

Welcome to Hermitage, an upcoming first-person survival simulation that is flipping the classic survival genre completely on its head.

Here is why Hermitage is catching the attention of gamers, indie devs, and survival enthusiasts alike.

A Setting Unlike Any Other: The Rain-Drowned Forests of Jharkhand

Most survival games drop players into familiar landscapes—snowy wildernesses, deserted tropical islands, or post-apocalyptic Western cities. Hermitage breaks the mould by taking inspiration from the dense, atmospheric, and rain-soaked forests of Jharkhand, India.

The environment plays a massive role in setting the atmospheric, unsettling tone. The constant downpour, rustling canopy, and mud-laden terrain create a claustrophobic yet captivating world where nature itself feels like an impending threat.

    Tense, Finite Resource Management

In Hermitage, you aren’t a superhero crafting plasma rifles out of junk. You are an isolated survivor forced to meticulously manage finite resources. Every match, bandage, and scrap of shelter matters.

Because resources do not simply respawn, every decision carries heavy weight:

    • Do you burn precious wood now to dry off and prevent hypothermia?
    • Do you venture deeper into the flooded woods to forage, risking encounters with unknown hazards?
    • What do you do when conventional, safe food simply runs out?

The Ultimate Twist: Deform to Survive

The core mechanic that sets Hermitage apart is its body-horror approach to nourishment. To stay alive in the unforgiving wilderness, you must eat the strange, mutated flora and fauna of the forest.

However, you are what you eat—literally.

Consuming these mutated foods triggers physical mutations in your character. As you progress, your body deforms in unpredictable ways. These mutations aren’t just visual; they fundamentally alter how you interact with the game world, presenting a haunting dilemma: How much of your humanity are you willing to trade to survive another day?

Why Hermitage Deserves a Spot on Your Watchlist

Hermitage combines atmospheric world-building, grounded survival mechanics, and psychological horror into a fresh, distinct experience. By grounding its eerie setting in the lush forests of Jharkhand, it offers a cultural setting rarely explored in survival gaming.

If you love games that test your resourcefulness, thrill you with atmospheric dread, and force you to make tough moral and physical choices, Hermitage is definitely one to keep on your radar.

What do you think? Would you eat mutated food to survive the rain-drowned woods, or take your chances with hunger? Let us know in the comments below!
