Nuns, guns, and a curse that only silence can break — welcome to Evil Moon: Unspoken, a bold new indie that blasts its way onto Steam with a playable demo arriving during Steam Next Fest this October.
The Curse That Demands Silence
Something ancient and malignant hangs over the city of Abbadox — the Malediction of the Moon. Under its baleful glow, most who speak or make a sound are swiftly claimed, twisted, or consumed. There is one exception: devoted sisters bound by vows of silence. Only they can walk the streets freely, unharmed by the evil that shrouds the cobblestones and alleys.
Enter Siléncia — a faithful, fiercely capable nun armed with unshakable resolve and serious firepower. She doesn’t just survive the curse; she’s going to tear it apart.
Boomer Shooter Meets Metroidvania
This isn’t your typical run-and-gun, and it’s not your standard exploration adventure — it’s both:
- Blistering boomer shooter combat — fast movement, punchy weapons, chunky foes, and satisfyingly loud explosions, all led by Siléncia’s relentless advance
- Sprawling metroidvania world — interconnected districts, winding streets, sealed passages, and hidden shortcuts; unlock new abilities and firepower to reach previously unreachable areas
- Silence as a mechanic — the curse shapes every corner of Abbadox. Learn what draws attention, what stays quiet, and when to unleash thunder
- Dark, atmospheric mystery — uncover why the moon turned evil, what happened to the other sisters, and the terrible truth buried beneath the city
