If you’ve ever wanted to run your own cutting-edge particle reactor without the lab safety paperwork, there’s good news: solo developer Miorama Games has just dropped a free playable demo of Particle Collectotron on Steam!
This active incremental game puts you in control of a futuristic reactor chamber. Your mission? Inject particles, harvest their energy, and push the experiment to its limits — all before the containment barrier fails. The full version is scheduled to launch 30 March 2027.
How It Plays
Unlike passive idle games, Particle Collectotron keeps you engaged. You’ll:
- Inject particles into the chamber and click to absorb their energy
- Balance risk and reward: more particles = bigger energy gains, but faster barrier wear
- Tune every run — particle types, speeds, angles, and spread — to match your strategy
- Spend harvested energy between attempts on a sprawling, non-linear upgrade tree
Every particle behaves differently: yellow arcs chain lightning, blue shatters into fragments, and rare exotic matter warps the field with gravitational pull. Survive a “superinjection” and your reactor grows — unlocking new injectors and deeper layers of strategy.
What’s in the Demo
The free Steam demo covers roughly 30–45 minutes of gameplay, letting you:
- Try out the first wave of particle types
- Unlock early upgrades and tuning options
- Encounter your first exotic particles and see mid-game mechanics start to unfold
- Play in 14 languages
It’s a perfect way to test the reactor before committing to the full release.
