Fenris Creations Unveils ‘Cradle of War’ Expansion for EVE Online, Launching June 9th

Just weeks after reclaiming its independence from Pearl Abyss and rebranding from CCP Games to Fenris Creations, the Icelandic developer has proved it isn’t wasting any time. Fresh off the stage at EVE Fanfest 2026, the studio has officially unveiled Cradle of War, the next major expansion for the iconic sci-fi MMO, scheduled to launch on June 9, 2026.

Cradle of War will mark the opening chapter of the Theatres of War saga—a planned three-expansion arc focused on evolving large-scale, player-driven warfare across the galaxy.

    Driving Galactic Conflict: Military Campaigns

The headline feature of the expansion is the introduction of Military Campaigns. Triggered by escalating instability in high-security space, this new feature introduces a structured framework to empire conflicts across New Eden.

Rather than limiting massive conflicts to endgame fleet commanders, Military Campaigns connect multi-location, player-driven activities into persistent, coordinated efforts. Crucially, Fenris Creations is ensuring that the system allows all playstyles to move the needle. Whether you are a frontline combat pilot, a haulier moving vital supplies, an industrialist manufacturing war machinery, or a scout gathering intelligence, your actions will directly influence the progression and permanent outcomes of the war.

“Cradle of War makes large-scale conflict more accessible without reducing its depth,” said Snorri Árnason, Executive Producer for EVE Online. “Players can step into the war effort earlier and have their impact meaningfully.”

Meta Shift: 8 New Ships on the Horizon

To support these sprawling operations, Cradle of War is injecting eight new spaceships into the New Eden meta:

    • Navy Destroyers: Tailored specifically for factional warfare, these ships are designed to be fast to skill into, offering high-impact options for early frontline combat and coordinated fleet operations.
    • Tech II Command Carriers: Built to anchor major fleet engagements, these advanced capitals focus on battlefield control and fleet utility, amplifying allied effectiveness through command bursts and support fighters.

Safe Harbor: The ‘Exordium’ Starter Space

In a major bid to solve the notoriously steep learning curve of the 23-year-old MMO, Fenris Creations is introducing Exordium, a dedicated, non-PvP starter system.

Designed to give rookie capsuleers a gradual introduction to EVE’s complexities, the space functions as a low-risk training ground where new pilots can learn the ropes together before braving the cutthroat lawlessness of wider security regions. To prevent veteran trolling while fostering community, the starter system features lower-tier resource yields to deter raiders, but allows veteran players to enter freely to act as mentors and guides.

    Progression, Identity, and New Missions

The expansion will also introduce a revamped Titles and Achievements system. Players will be able to unlock visible badges of honour reflecting their reputation, focus, and playstyle. These titles will be visible across in-game interactions—from chat windows to contract agreements—allowing capsuleers to show off their legacy at a glance. Furthermore, players looking for lore-heavy PvE content can dive into new Epic Arc Missions, which allow pilots to play through defining battles from New Eden’s historical timeline.

Coming off a highly profitable 2025 that brought in over $70 million in revenue, Fenris Creations is clearly operating with newfound agility. Cradle of War launches as a free update for all PC and Mac players on June 9, 2026.

  • Sprint City: A Deep Dive into the Urban Racing Phenomenon

Sprint City: A Deep Dive into the Urban Racing Phenomenon

Hey, racing fans and city builders! Today, we’re taking a pit stop to talk about a game that’s been making waves in the mobile gaming world: Sprint City. If you haven’t heard of it, imagine the adrenaline rush of high-speed racing blended with the strategic satisfaction of city management. Intrigued? Let’s dive in!

    What is Sprint City?

At its core, Sprint City is a unique hybrid that tasks players with two main objectives: building and managing a thriving metropolis, and then racing through its streets in exhilarating competitions. It’s not just about winning races; it’s about building the infrastructure that enables those races, and then benefiting from the success of your city.

The City Building Aspect: More Than Just Scenery

Unlike many racing games where the environment is just a backdrop, in Sprint City, your city is a living, breathing entity that directly impacts your racing experience. You’ll start with a small plot of land and gradually expand, constructing various buildings:

    • Residential zones: Attract citizens, increase your population and provide a tax base.
    • Commercial zones: Generate income and unlock new racing opportunities.
    • Industrial zones: Produce resources needed for upgrades and further construction.
    • Special buildings: Unlock unique cars, parts, or provide significant buffs to your racing performance or city economy.

But it’s not just about placing buildings willy-nilly. Strategic placement matters! You’ll need to think about traffic flow, resource management, and how your city’s layout can give you an edge in races. Want to build a shortcut through a new commercial district? Go for it! This level of control is incredibly satisfying.

Here’s a glimpse of a bustling Sprint City, thriving with activity:

The Racing Experience: Speed and Strategy

Once your city starts to take shape, it’s time to hit the streets! Sprint City’s racing mechanics are surprisingly deep for a mobile title. You’ll engage in various race types, from quick sprints to longer, more technical circuits.

    • Car Customisation: Earn money and resources from your city to upgrade your vehicles. Engine, tyres, aerodynamics – every component can be tweaked to maximise your performance. There’s a wide array of cars to unlock, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
    • Track Design: The tracks themselves are your city streets! This means you’ll be racing past landmarks you’ve built, navigating corners you’ve designed, and utilising shortcuts you’ve strategically placed. This dynamic relationship between city building and racing is where Sprint City truly shines.
    • Competitive Multiplayer: Test your skills against other players in real-time PvP races. Climb the leaderboards and prove your city has the fastest drivers!

Imagine zooming through a meticulously planned urban landscape
