    New Terra Invicta update changes the world

    Hooded Horse is excited to announce that the latest major patch for sci-fi grand strategy game Terra Invicta is here. Update 0.4 makes a wide range of changes, from a reorganization of the geopolitical layer, to a rework of tech tree, and other quality-of-life features to spaceships, such as officers and new modules.

    For those who enjoy competing for control over the nations of the world, the early portion of the game will look significantly different as plenty of regions have been split up, with several new countries emerging, and some larger ones broken up into more regions. India and China have been reorganized and nations such as Switzerland have emerged, to name a few of the changes made. The world will literally never be the same!

    Ships can now gain officers as a form of “reward”, based on triggering conditions and a successful die roll. There are 15 types of officers in total, and each can advance three levels. For example, a ship can gain or promote a gunnery officer when it gets a kill with gun-type weaponry. There are also new modules, reworked internal damage mechanics, and particle weaponry has been completely overhauled.

    Other major changes in the patch include:

    A rework of the tech tree, including consolidating similar techs into one

    Changes to terrestrial warfare

    A rework of greenhouse gas generation

    Comets are now a thing – you can explore and develop these like you can asteroids

    The invaders get Tier-3 technology

    Changes to mission frequency over time

    You can read the full patch notes here. Note that the update will break any existing saves, however the 0.3 version of the game will be kept running on a separate branch. The game was recently released on PC Game Pass, joining other Hooded Horse titles Against the Storm and (when it releases) Manor Lords.

    Terra Invicta is available in early access for PC via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,980. It is also available for PC Game Pass via game preview.

    The new film by award winning film-maker Mark Christopher Lee is now streaming on Tubi. The film explores the paranormal nature to UFO encounters and investigates the links between them.

    Lee shares his own “Alien” experience he had as a child which he’s sure was Angelic in nature. He adds:

    “When I was young I had a weird experience of a blue shining light and face appearing on my bedroom wall, it was like a portal had opened from another dimension or world. It was breaking the “Angel” for want of a better word gave me a message that everything was going to be ok. Well, from the next day onwards my world turned upside down and my abusive childhood started but this divine or alien message gave me the courage to get through.”

    “At the time I was sure it was an Angel but now after investigating UFOs and Alien Experiences that people have had I think it may have been an alien encounter, or that Angels and Aliens are the same type of being or energy.”

    The film also explores the mysteries of Quantum Physics and how maybe quantum entanglement may hold the key to explaining both paranormal and UFO experiences. The film features Evelyn Hollow from TV’s Uncanny and also Yvette Fielding from Most Haunted.

    Ian Broadmore a world renowned Demonologist also looks at the links between Aliens and Demons and he states, along with Nick Pope who used to front the UK’s UFO desk for the Military, that many in both the US and UK governments believe that UFOs are demonic in nature. Pope states:

    “Luis Elizondo the whistleblower who used to work for the US government on UFOS was told by a prominent Pentagon official to leave UFOS and alone and to go away and read his bible. This is the attitude that is still prevalent and which why we are not getting full UFO disclosure.”

    New features, easier to use and compatible with all current models

    With the updated MyŠkoda app, customers benefit from several new features bundled in one application as well as from a more intuitive design. Customers of all-electric, plug-in hybrid and conventional power train models receive access to new features that make their everyday life easier, for example through smart services like Pay to Park and Pay to Fuel. Introducing a completely new look, the updated app features a brand-new home screen, revised graphics and an informative widget, which makes the app even easier to use.

    All current and upcoming models support the newest update, including those with combustion engines and plug-in hybrid powertrains manufactured after July 2020. Users who previously used the MyŠkoda Essentials app can now make transition to the new MyŠkoda app, keeping their existing Škoda account. Meanwhile, owners of Škoda models produced until July 2020 will continue to use the MyŠkoda Essentials app for the time being.

    A wide range of new features

    The updated MyŠkoda app integrates numerous digital services from Škoda Connect and now covers additional parts along the customer journey. The new feature is granting access to more than 660,000 charging points across Europe thanks to partnerships with more than 870 providers. It also simplifies the management of home charging solutions, such as the Škoda iV Chargers. On top of that, the app offers the possibility to manage charging plans, use the Plug & Charge function, and view the charging history. Current Powerpass users can download or update the MyŠkoda app, navigate to the Powerpass section and confirm their Škoda ID connection for a fully automatic data transfer. Checking the Škoda Enyaq’s charging status from home or activating the Climate Control before setting off are just two further examples of the extended functionality of the MyŠkoda app.

    A more intuitive design and additional entertainment options

    The app’s new design further improves the user experience providing a design comparable to a simplified home screen. Additionally, essential information – like the charging or vehicle status – can now be displayed through widgets on the home screen, enhancing accessibility. The new MyŠkoda app also adds convenience for guest users, allowing, for example, the remote control of charging and air conditioning for their partner’s Enyaq.
