Hooded Horse is excited to announce that the latest major patch for sci-fi grand strategy game Terra Invicta is here. Update 0.4 makes a wide range of changes, from a reorganization of the geopolitical layer, to a rework of tech tree, and other quality-of-life features to spaceships, such as officers and new modules.
For those who enjoy competing for control over the nations of the world, the early portion of the game will look significantly different as plenty of regions have been split up, with several new countries emerging, and some larger ones broken up into more regions. India and China have been reorganized and nations such as Switzerland have emerged, to name a few of the changes made. The world will literally never be the same!
Ships can now gain officers as a form of “reward”, based on triggering conditions and a successful die roll. There are 15 types of officers in total, and each can advance three levels. For example, a ship can gain or promote a gunnery officer when it gets a kill with gun-type weaponry. There are also new modules, reworked internal damage mechanics, and particle weaponry has been completely overhauled.
Other major changes in the patch include:
A rework of the tech tree, including consolidating similar techs into one
Changes to terrestrial warfare
A rework of greenhouse gas generation
Comets are now a thing – you can explore and develop these like you can asteroids
You can read the full patch notes here. Note that the update will break any existing saves, however the 0.3 version of the game will be kept running on a separate branch. The game was recently released on PC Game Pass, joining other Hooded Horse titles Against the Storm and (when it releases) Manor Lords.
