  • The Year of the Titan: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 and Titan Chasers Crossover Event are Live!

The Year of the Titan: Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 and Titan Chasers Crossover Event are Live!

The Monsterverse is officially taking over in 2026. If you’ve felt the ground shaking recently, it isn’t just your imagination—it’s the simultaneous return of Legendary’s acclaimed series and a massive expansion in the gaming world.

Whether you’re a couch-bound investigator or a mobile-first commander, there has never been a better time to be a fan of the “Big G” and the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Here is everything you need to know about the dual-threat launch of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 and the latest Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers update.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 – Return to Skull Island
After a long wait, the second season of the hit Apple TV+ series premiered on February 27, 2026. While Season 1 centred on the mystery of Godzilla’s emergence and the origins of the Monarch organisation, Season 2 is shifting its gaze toward the treacherous terrain of Skull Island.

    What to Expect:

The Rise of Kong: King Kong takes centre stage this season as Monarch operatives dive deeper into the mysteries of his home.

The Enigmatic Titan X: A new, bioluminescent threat—currently codenamed Titan X—has emerged from the depths. Described by showrunners as a “living cataclysm,” this ancient force is the central mystery driving the new episodes.

Legacy Cast Returns: Expect to see familiar faces like Anna Sawai and Wyatt Russell as the show continues to bridge the gap between the 1950s and the modern day.

Release Schedule: New episodes drop every Friday on Apple TV+, leading up to a massive season finale on May 1, 2026.

Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers – “The Restless Ocean” Event
To celebrate the show’s return, the 4X strategy MMO Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers has launched its biggest update to date. Starting March 2, 2026, players can participate in a limited-time crossover event titled “The Restless Ocean.”

    Key Event Highlights:

Recruit the Scarab: For the first time, players can unlock and recruit the Scarab, a new monster inspired by the events of the show.

Episodic Story Campaign: The game features a new six-chapter story that unlocks weekly, paralleling the narrative beats of the TV series.

Exclusive Monarch Gear: Earn unique “Monarch Pioneer” equipment sets and aquatic outpost skins by completing limited-time map events like Spawn of the Deep.

Legacy Explorer Pass: A special reward track is now live, offering exclusive shards and vanity items that will not be available once the event ends on May 11, 2026.

    Why the Crossover Matters

This isn’t just a marketing gimmick; it’s a lore expansion. The developers at Hunted Cow Games and Tilting Point worked closely with Legendary to ensure that the secrets you uncover in Titan Chasers—particularly regarding Apex Cybernetics and the emergence of Titan X—complement the storytelling on screen.

For fans, this means the Monsterverse is more immersive than ever. You can watch an episode on Friday night and then jump into the game on Saturday to help Monarch investigate the same “Titan Event” you just saw on your TV.

Pro-Tip for Chasers: Don’t forget to use the promo code JOINTHECHASE in-game this week to snag 5,000 Titanium and a massive boost to your energy and wood resources!

  • The Hive Awakens: “Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War” Unveils the Long-Awaited Exclusive Bug Mode

The Hive Awakens: “Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War” Unveils the Long-Awaited Exclusive Bug Mode

The Federation has always told us that “the only good Bug is a dead Bug.” But for gamers tired of being on the receiving end of a Plasma Grenadier’s bad day, the script is officially being flipped.

In a massive update to the tactical shooter Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War, developers have finally pulled back the curtain on the most requested feature in the franchise’s history: Exclusive Bug Mode.

Play the Villain: Life on the Other Side of the Mandible
For the first time in Ultimate Bug War, you aren’t just defending a base; you are the swarm. This isn’t just a simple skin swap—it’s a complete mechanical overhaul.

Instead of worrying about ammo counts and reload speeds, players in Bug Mode manage Hive Ferocity and Evolutionary Pathing. Whether you’re a lowly Warrior or a hulking Tanker, your goal is simple: overwhelm the Federation’s defences by any means necessary.

    Strategy vs. Raw Power

Playing as the Arachnids requires a shift in mindset. You are no longer the underdog with a rifle; you are a force of nature.

“We wanted players to feel the terrifying weight of the swarm. It’s not about individual survival; it’s about the collective victory of the Hive.” – Lead Game Designer

The mode introduces a “Fear Factor” mechanic. The more efficiently your swarm dispatches Troopers, the more the human AI panics, leading to suppressed fire and missed shots. However, if the Federation manages to hold the line, they can call in air strikes that can wipe out your entire brood in seconds. It’s a high-stakes game of biological chess.

    Is It Service or Sacrifice?

While the Federation prides itself on “doing its part,” the Bug Mode offers a refreshing, chaotic break from the rigid structure of the Mobile Infantry. It’s messy, it’s visceral, and it’s exactly what the community has been itching for.

Whether you’re playing for the glory of the Hive or just want to see what a Morita Rifle looks like from the perspective of a set of mandibles, this update is a game-changer.

  • Into the Night: Moonlight Peaks Confirmed for Nintendo Switch and Beyond

Into the Night: Moonlight Peaks Confirmed for Nintendo Switch and Beyond

The supernatural life-sim genre is about to get a lot more “un-lively.” Today, XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe officially announced that Moonlight Peaks, the highly anticipated gothic farming sim from Little Chicken Game Company, is expanding its horizons.

While previously confirmed for PC, the developers have revealed that the game will also haunt the Nintendo Switch™, the next-generation Nintendo Switch™ 2, and Google Play Games.

Mark your calendars (or set your sundials): Moonlight Peaks is scheduled for a simultaneous digital launch across all platforms on July 7, 2026.

    Step Out of Dracula’s Shadow

In Moonlight Peaks, you don’t just play any vampire—you play the progeny of Count Dracula himself. But instead of pursuing a legacy of darkness and terror, you’ve decided to move to the titular town of Moonlight Peaks to prove that the undead can lead a wholesome, compassionate life.

The game blends the cosy mechanics of Stardew Valley with a dark, mystical aesthetic. You’ll spend your nights (because, you know, the sun is a problem) cultivating a magical garden, brewing potions, and mastering ancient spells to help your farm flourish.

Key Features to Sink Your Fangs Into:

Supernatural Socialising: Meet a diverse cast of local residents, including werewolves, witches, and mermaids. You can even find eternal love through a robust dating system.

Cursed Crops: Forget corn and potatoes. In Moonlight Peaks, you’ll grow glowing flowers and “cursed” crops that serve as your primary source of sustenance.

Gothic Customization: Decorate your haunted homestead with eerie furniture and, of course, the perfect coffin.

Vampiric Abilities: Unlock powers like shapeshifting and enhanced senses to explore hidden areas of the town and its surrounding forests.

    Next-Gen Gothic Gaming

The confirmation for Nintendo Switch™ 2 is particularly exciting for fans of the genre. While details on the new hardware remain a hot topic of conversation, the inclusion of Moonlight Peaks in its software lineup suggests we can expect a visually stunning experience that maintains the “cosy-creepy” art style the game is known for.

For those who prefer gaming on the go without a console, the Google Play Games version ensures that mobile and tablet users won’t be left in the dark.

“Moonlight Peaks is a supernatural fit for our portfolio,” said Kenji Hosoi, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games. “We look forward to working with Little Chicken to bring this unique vision of the undead life to fans worldwide.”

    Ready to Move In?

If you can’t wait until July, a PC demo focusing on the game’s decorating mechanics and basic spellcasting is currently available on Steam. It’s the perfect way to get a head start on designing your dream vampire haven.

  • Warped Universe: The Genre-Bending Co-op Sci-Fi Epic Hits Steam Early Access Soon

Warped Universe: The Genre-Bending Co-op Sci-Fi Epic Hits Steam Early Access Soon

The sci-fi gaming landscape is about to get a serious shake-up. If you’ve ever found yourself torn between the adrenaline of a third-person shooter and the cerebral satisfaction of a tactical strategy game, Warped Universe is coming to solve your identity crisis.

Developed by Warped Games—a seasoned indie team with a pedigree including LEGO Universe and Jumpgate—this ambitious PvE title is officially gearing up for its Steam Early Access launch.

Play at Your Own Pace: Action Meets Tactics

The standout feature of Warped Universe is its “dual-engine” approach to combat. Before heading into a mission, players aren’t just choosing their gear; they’re choosing their genre.

Real-Time Action: For those who want high-octane, third-person combat. Dodge, aim, and blast through enemies with twitch reflexes.

Turn-Based Strategy: For the thinkers. Shift to a top-down tactical view where every move is calculated, and victory is earned through positioning and planning.

What’s truly impressive is that these aren’t separate modes. Both styles utilise the same underlying mechanics and “dice-roll” logic, ensuring that whether you’re clicking heads or managing action points, the experience feels cohesive.

From Earthly Soil to Deep Space

Warped Universe doesn’t stop at hybrid combat styles; it also bridges the gap between ground and space. Missions will take you from the surface of alien planets to the cockpit of a starship.

A Universe Shaped by the Community

Built in Unreal Engine 5, the game looks stunning, but the beauty isn’t just skin-deep. The developers are implementing Seasonal Solar Systems, where player actions actually matter. As a community, you’ll collect “Residuum” to construct new planets and establish facilities, defending your progress against the encroaching Void.

“Our goal is to have many players come together to complete the solar system however they prefer,” says the dev team. “You can play the whole game and progress just by sticking to one mode if you like.”

    Why You Should Care

With a team of only 12 developers, Warped Universe is a true passion project. It’s rare to see an indie title attempt such a massive scope—combining action, strategy, ground, and space combat into a single persistent world.

Warped Universe is currently available to wishlist on Steam. If you’re a fan of deep sci-fi lore, cooperative PvE, or just want a game that respects your preferred playstyle, this is one to keep on your radar for 2026.

Stay tuned to BizNooz for more updates on the official Early Access launch date.

  • Into the North: WILL: Follow the Light Demos Its Way Across Steam Next Fest

Into the North: WILL: Follow the Light Demos Its Way Across Steam Next Fest

If you’ve been craving a narrative experience that feels like a cold, crisp morning in the Nordic wilderness, your wait is officially over—or at least, a significant piece of it is. TomorrowHead Studio has officially announced that their atmospheric adventure, WILL: Follow the Light, is making its way to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The best part? You don’t have to wait for the full release to get your hands on the wheel. As part of Steam Next Fest (running now through March 2, 2026), a playable demo is live on Steam, giving players a first look at what it’s like to navigate the unforgiving northern seas.

A Tale of Fathers, Sons, and the Open Sea

WILL: Follow the Light isn’t your typical “walking sim.” It’s a first-person journey that places you in the boots of Will, a lighthouse keeper whose solitary life is upended by a mysterious radio message. A disaster has struck his hometown, and his son is missing.

What follows is a cinematic trek through the harsh northern latitudes. To find his family, Will must master several distinct modes of traversal:

Realistic Sailing: This isn’t just “press W to move.” You’ll navigate the yacht Molly using authentic navigation tools and weather stations.

Dog Sledging: Cross snow-covered mountain ranges by leading a team of sledge dogs.

On-Foot Exploration: Explore abandoned islands and ruined settlements where the environmental storytelling takes centre stage.

Unreal Engine 5 Meets Indie Ambition

Visually, the game is a standout. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the Spokane-based TomorrowHead Studio has leveraged its background in CGI to create a world that looks hauntingly real. Whether you’re watching the way the wind catches the sails of your yacht or the way the light hits a frozen peak, the immersion is front and centre.

The developers have cited influences like Firewatch and Alan Wake, which are evident in the game’s blend of grounded reality and atmospheric tension.

“We wanted to create a diverse adventure where gameplay never settles into a single pattern. One moment you’re navigating wind and inertia on the water, the next you’re solving puzzles rooted in real-world logic.” — Roman Novikov, Founder of TomorrowHead Studio.

    How to Play Right Now

The demo available during Steam Next Fest offers a vertical slice of the experience. You’ll get a taste of the yacht mechanics, some introductory puzzles, and a first meeting with key characters from Will’s life.

Release Date: Targeted for later in 2026.

Platforms: PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Next Fest Window: Play the demo before it sails away on March 2, 2026.

If you enjoy narrative-heavy experiences with high production value, this is one to add to your wishlist immediately.

  • Saint Slayer: Spear is coming to PC and consoles April 20th

Saint Slayer: Spear is coming to PC and consoles April 20th

Prepare your holy water and sharpen your steel—the hunt is about to begin.

Lillymo Games has officially announced that Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege will be launching on Monday, April 20th, 2026. This retro-inspired, blood-soaked action-platformer is coming to PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2.

    The Holy War Begins

Set against the dark backdrop of late-17th-century Europe, you play as Rudiger, an ex-soldier forced out of retirement to save the Holy Roman Empire. Your target? The corrupt Father Pacer, a priest who has unleashed a demonic uprising to cement his own power.

Equipped with the titular Spear of Sacrilege, you’ll navigate a world filled with crunchy pixelated gore and a haunting gothic atmosphere that feels like a long-lost NES classic.

    Key Gameplay Features:

    • Classic Challenge: Heavily inspired by the original Castlevania, featuring locked jump arcs, stiff movement, and deliberate, tactical combat.
    • Massive Scope: Fight your way through 21 handcrafted stages and face down 7 monstrous bosses.
    • Co-Op Chaos: Play the entire campaign in 2-player local co-op. Be careful, though—friendly fire is active, making your spear just as dangerous to your partner as it is to the demons.
    • Upgrades & Secrets: Unlock animal familiars, new abilities, and power-ups to help you survive.
    • Player Choice: Your actions matter. Help or hurt those you encounter to influence the story and reach multiple endings.

    From the Minds of Lillymo

Developed by Barry Johnson and written by Colin Moriarty (known for Sacred Symbols and Twin Breaker), Saint Slayer is a love letter to the 8-bit era. It combines the punishing difficulty of the past with modern refinements like adjustable difficulty and accessibility options.

“I specifically wanted to make a game that felt like Castlevania (1)… the stiffness and restriction allow us to lock into a gameplay experience that we don’t see as often anymore.” — Barry Johnson, Lead Developer

  • Legends Never Die: Diving into Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2

Legends Never Die: Diving into Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2

The streets of South Town are heating up once again. Following a stellar first year that brought us heavy hitters like Ken and Chun-Li, SNK is keeping the momentum at full throttle. Season 2 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves officially kicked off on January 22, 2026, and it’s shaping up to be a masterclass in “Evolution”—the official theme for this year’s content.

If you thought the base game was deep, Season 2 is here to prove that the legend is only getting started. Here is everything you need to know about the new roster, the “Nightmare” returning to South Town, and the massive balance changes.

The Season 2 Roadmap: A New Legend Every Month

SNK has committed to an aggressive release schedule for Season 2, dropping one new fighter every single month through June. This steady drip-feed ensures the meta stays fresh and players always have a new matchup to master.

    MonthFighterStatus
    JanuaryKim Jae HoonAvailable Now
    FebruaryNightmare GeeseArriving Feb 26
    MarchBlue MaryUpcoming
    AprilWolfgang KrauserUpcoming
    MayMystery Character???
    JuneMystery Character???

The Headliners: From Justice to Nightmares

The roster for Season 2 is a “Who’s Who” of SNK royalty.

    • Kim Jae Hoon: The season started with the son of Kim Kaphwan. His Taekwondo style is all about “Hard Justice”—polishing his father’s classic moves with modern speed and fiery aggression. He’s the perfect pick for players who love high-pressure, aerial-to-ground transitions.
    • Nightmare Geese: He’s back… sort of. Despite being canonically deceased in the Fatal Fury timeline, the “Emperor of South Town” returns as a spectral terror on February 26. He brings a haunting new storyline to the Episodes of South Town (EOST) mode, where he wanders the city unaware of his own demise.
    • The Heavyweights: With Blue Mary and the aristocratic powerhouse Wolfgang Krauser coming in the spring, the competitive tier list is about to get a serious shake-up.

Beyond the Fighters: The Season 2 “Evolution” Patch

It’s not just about the new faces. SNK launched Season 2 with Patch Ver 1.7.2, a massive overhaul based directly on player feedback.

“We wanted to provide an ‘evolved’ version of the game where a broader range of playstyles can thrive.” — Hayato Konya, Director

The update aims to tone down “standard” archetypes that dominated the early pro scene, giving more specialised, technical characters room to shine. Expect tighter hitboxes, adjusted REV System scaling, and a more strategic pace in high-level ranked matches.

Crossover Fever: Fatal Fury x Street Fighter Round 3

Coinciding with the release of Nightmare Geese, a new free update adds even more crossover content. We’re seeing Street Fighter 6 influence creep into South Town with:

    • Alternative Outfits: Rock Howard (Luke-inspired) and Preecha (Juri-inspired).
    • New EOST Boss: Prepare to face Kage Terry, a shadowy reflection of the Hungry Wolf himself.
    • Guest Enemies: Yes, the infamous “sentient refrigerators” from SF6’s World Tour mode are making a cameo.

    How to Join the Fight

If you’re just now jumping into the fray, the best way to get up to speed is the Legend Edition ($49.99). It bundles the base game with both Season Pass 1 (Andy, Ken, Joe, Chun-Li, Mr. Big) and the ongoing Season Pass 2.

The mystery remains: who are those final two characters? With rumours swirling about a Fist of the North Star collaboration, the streets of South Town have never been more unpredictable.

After its initial debut on PC late last year, console players can finally dive back into the tactical, post-apocalyptic chaos of the Dustwind universe.

    What’s New in Canyon Cross?

Defeating the Warlord was only the beginning. A ruthless new Raider General has set his sights on the settlement of Canyon Cross, and it’s up to Jake and his squad (including the ever-loyal Diesel) to keep the community from being wiped off the map.

    Key Features:

    • Five New Missions: Approximately 5 hours of fresh gameplay featuring new landscapes and tactical challenges.
    • The “Scraptrack”: A new armoured vehicle that lets you ride into action guns-blazing.

  • The Truth is Landing: UFOPHILIA Touches Down on Xbox Play Anywhere February 25th

The Truth is Landing: UFOPHILIA Touches Down on Xbox Play Anywhere February 25th

If you’ve spent any time scouring the internet for grainy footage of “unidentified aerial phenomena” or debating the merits of the Roswell incident, your next obsession is about to land.

UFOPHILIA, the atmospheric investigation horror game from solo developer K148 Game Studio and publisher JanduSoft, is officially making its way to the Xbox ecosystem on February 25, 2026. Even better? It’s launching as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning you can hunt for extraterrestrials on your Xbox Series X|S and pick up right where you left off on your Windows PC.

    What is UFOPHILIA?

Think Phasmophobia, but trade the ghosts for Greys. In UFOPHILIA, you aren’t a soldier; you’re an investigator obsessed with the unknown. Your weapon isn’t a rifle—it’s a camera and a suite of high-tech sensors.

Your mission is simple (but terrifying):

    1. Investigate seven unique, eerie locations (from campsites to police stations).
    2. Identify which of the nine distinct alien types is haunting the area.
    3. Photograph the evidence before you become the subject of an abduction.

    Key Features to Watch For

The game prides itself on psychological dread rather than just cheap jump scares. Here is what you can expect when you boot it up:

    • Dynamic Encounters: No two missions are the same. Spawn zones and alien behaviours are randomised, ensuring that the “safe” corner you found last time might be a hotspot in your next run.
    • The “Roswell” Kit: You’ll have access to EMF detectors, night vision, microwave meters, and heart rate sensors. Pro-tip: Certain tools have hidden synergies when used together.
    • Nine Unique Visitors: Not all aliens are hostile. Some are curious, some are playful (in a creepy way), and some are very much out for blood.
    • Progression System: Earn “Roswell Points” to unlock better gear and harder missions. Can you rise from a “Forum Conspiracy Theorist” to a “Roswell Agent”?

“The truth is out there… but so are they. And they are watching you back.”

    Pre-Order and Launch Details

For the early birds who want to secure their clearance level, pre-orders are live now on the Microsoft Store. JanduSoft is currently offering a launch discount, bringing the price down to a very accessible $9.99.

By leveraging Xbox Play Anywhere, your progress, achievements, and purchases carry over seamlessly across the Microsoft ecosystem. Whether you’re playing on a high-end PC or lounging on the couch with your Xbox Series X, the hunt never has to stop.

Mark your calendars for February 25. Just… maybe keep the lights on for this one.

  • In the ever-shifting landscape of the survival horror genre, few names carry the weight of Resident Evil

In the ever-shifting landscape of the survival horror genre, few names carry the weight of Resident Evil

For nearly 30 years, Capcom’s flagship franchise has reinvented itself—from the fixed-camera puzzles of the 90s to the action-heavy blockbusters of the 2000s, and the visceral first-person dread of the modern era.

Now, with the release of Resident Evil Requiem (officially launching February 27, 2026), we aren’t just getting another sequel. We are entering a new era that aims to reconcile the franchise’s divided soul.

    A Tale of Two Protagonists

Directed by Koshi Nakanishi—the mastermind behind the terrifying Resident Evil 7: Biohazard—Requiem introduces a dual-protagonist system designed to satisfy both purists and action junkies.

    • Grace Ashcroft: A new face in the series and an FBI intelligence analyst. As the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak survivor Alyssa Ashcroft, Grace brings a vulnerable, investigative perspective. Her gameplay focuses on stealth, limited resources, and psychological horror.
    • Leon S. Kennedy: The legendary DSO agent returns, but he isn’t the invincible action hero we saw in RE4. Returning to a ruined, post-missile strike Raccoon City, Leon is battling a new viral strain and, more disturbingly, his own deteriorating physical state. His sections lean into exhilarating action and tactical combat.

Technical Innovation: The RE Engine Evolved

Built exclusively for ninth-generation consoles and high-end PCs, Requiem pushes the RE Engine to its breaking point.

    • Perspective Freedom: For the first time, players can toggle between First-Person and Third-Person perspectives at any time, allowing you to tailor the level of intimacy (or distance) you want from the horrors.
    • Advanced Fidelity: On PC and PS5 Pro, the game features path-traced lighting and a revolutionary hair-strand system that reacts realistically to environmental movement.
    • Smart Zombies: Enemies in Requiem are no longer mindless drones. Their human “personalities” influence their behaviour—some may ignore you to feast on corpses, while others will actively manipulate the environment, like turning off lights to hunt you in the dark.

Returning to Where it All Began

The setting is a “Requiem” for the series’ history. The game takes us back to the Midwest and the scarred remains of Raccoon City, 30 years after its destruction. Fans can expect to revisit iconic locations like the R.P.D. station, now a hollowed-out tomb of secrets.

The narrative also promises to bridge the gap between the original Umbrella incident and the modern bio-threats, featuring rumoured appearances from legacy characters like Sherry Birkin and clues pointing toward the “Raccoon City Syndrome”—a lingering curse affecting the survivors of the 1998 outbreak.

You step into the boots of Romeo Stargazer, a deputy sheriff who has a very bad day involving a “White Devil” monster and a sudden case of being dead.

Thanks to some questionable “DeadGear” hyper-technology provided by his mad-scientist grandfather, Romeo is revived as a “DeadMan”—a being caught in a perpetual time paradox between life and death. Naturally, the FBI’s Space-Time Police immediately recruits him to hunt down interdimensional fugitives.

While you’re busy painting the cosmos red, Romeo is also searching for his missing girlfriend, Juliet. But in a Suda51 game, “finding your girlfriend” usually involves fighting 16 different versions of her across various dimensions.

    Gameplay: Blood, “Bastards,” and… Curry?

The game is described by the developers as “Ultra-Violent Science Fiction,” and they aren’t kidding. Here is what you can expect from the gameplay loop:

    • Hack, Slash, and Shoot: Romeo switches seamlessly between laser swords and guns to tear through waves of enemies known as “Bastards.”
    • Bloody Summer: By absorbing the blood of your fallen foes, you can unleash a screen-clearing special attack that turns the game into a kaleidoscopic explosion of gore.
    • The Ship Hub: Between missions, you hang out on your FBI spaceship. In a classic Grasshopper twist, this hub is rendered in 16-bit pixel art. You can chat with a talking cat, cook health-restoring curries, or tend to a garden where you grow zombies that assist you in battle.
    • The Pac-Man Upgrade Path: To upgrade Romeo’s stats, you don’t just click a menu; you navigate a large, Pac-Man-inspired maze using experience points to unlock new paths.

    Initial Critical Reception

The reviews are landing, and like most of Suda51’s work, ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN is proving to be a “love it or hate it” masterpiece of “punk” game design.

    PublicationScoreTakeaway
    8Bit/Digi10 / 10“Balls to the wall outrageous.”
Game Informer8.25 / 10“A bizarre, violent, and unexpectedly thoughtful style.”
    The Guardian2 / 5“Sprawl feels disappointingly directionless… like a child mashing toys.”
OpenCritic72 AvgStrong recommendation for die-hard Grasshopper fans.

“ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN is our first original title in quite some time… I really wanted to create a character who could be loved by game fans the world over.” — Goichi Suda (Suda51)

    Should You Play It?

If you’re looking for a polished, triple-A cinematic experience with a “normal” story, look elsewhere. But if you want a game that feels like a playable fever dream, features a soundtrack by Japanese rap legends Scha Dara Parr, and lets you grow a zombie sniper in a garden—this is your Game of the Year.

ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN is available now. Go get weird.

Command the Stars: Astro Protocol Launches Today on Steam!

The wait is over for fans of deep strategy and tactical space combat. Null Vector Studios has officially released Astro Protocol on Steam!

If you love the depth of a 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate) strategy game but don’t always have six hours to spare for a single session, this is the game you’ve been waiting for. Astro Protocol distils the grand strategy experience into intense, one-hour matches without sacrificing the complexity that makes the genre great.

    What is Astro Protocol?

Astro Protocol is a turn-based space strategy game set in a simulated star system. You take control of one of six unique factions, each vying for control of the “framework.” Whether you prefer the relentless expansion of a colonial power or the swarm tactics of a hive mind, the game challenges you to adapt your strategy to a galaxy that changes every time you play.

    Key Features at Launch:

    • Bitesize Grand Strategy: Matches are designed to be completed in about 60–120 minutes.
    • Procedural Replayability: Every run features randomised maps, anomalies, and procedurally generated tech trees. You can’t rely on a “meta” build order here; you have to react to the technologies available to you.
    • Tactical Hex Combat: Battles take place on a one-unit-per-tile grid. Positioning, flanking, and managing your fleet’s specific ship classes (from agile Scouts to massive Battleships) are the keys to victory.
    • Intricate Production Chains: Every tile matters. You’ll build space stations to harvest resources from asteroids and gas giants, connecting them via orbital networks to fuel your empire.
    • Smart AI: Developed in collaboration with renowned strategy modder Xilmi, the AI doesn’t just sit back—it plays to win, forcing you to earn every victory point.

    A Galaxy of Content

The full release is packed with content to keep you coming back for “just one more turn”:

    • 6 Playable Factions with distinct mechanics.
    • 24 Ship Types to master and upgrade.
    • 100+ Anomalies to discover, each offering unique rewards or “forbidden” tech.
    • 9 Different Victory Conditions, ensuring that combat isn’t the only path to dominance.

    Available Now

Astro Protocol is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. To celebrate the launch, Null Vector Studios is offering a limited-time discount on Steam.

“We wanted to create a strategy game that respects your time but still offers those ‘high-stakes’ decisions that make 4X games so addictive,” says the development team at Null Vector.
